Hello My Name Is...

Kelly Christensen

My nickname is Mrs. C most days.  I have been teaching 5th grade at Bess T. Shepherd since 2010. This is my 21st year of teaching.  I started teaching because of my love for children. I grew up in Livonia, Michigan.  I received by bachelors from Michigan State University and then went on to get my Masters at Marygrove College.  I moved to Chattanooga in 2003 and worked at East Side Elementary.  In 2010, I I moved to Bess T. Shepherd and have been here ever since.  While here in Chattanooga, I decided I couldn't get enough of school and went on to get my ESOL endorsement. I am one of the Language Arts teachers in fifth grade here at Bess T.  My life is quite busy being married and having two busy boys.  I spend most of my spare time driving them to practices and watching them do what they love.
