I've been the Librarian at Bess T. Shepherd for 8 years. 
Before coming here, I taught English Literature at Tyner High School.   As a bibliophile from a young age, it only made sense I make a career out of spreading my love of reading and books to the generations to come.  

I absolutely love all my students.  It's my mission to get them excited about books and learning!  Also, as the librarian, I want to ensure that students are effective users of ideas and information. 

In the library I encourage students to explore a variety of subjects and to read for pleasure!  If I don't have it, I'll do my best to get it!   

Every year there are 2 Scholastic Book Fairs at the Bess T. Shepherd library.  It's a fun and exciting way to get everyone jazzed about reading.
