Hello! My name is Mrs. Kiger.
I am from North Carolina, where I lived until I was 22. I moved to Tennessee in 2012 to attend Lee University, where I decided to become a teacher. I have loved learning and reading since I was young, and I want to pass on that passion to my students for years to come!
I graduated with my degree in TESOL education in 2015 and have been teaching ESOL ever since. This is my third year at Bess T Shepherd and I absolutely love working with our students and staff. I have grown as a teacher and a person during my time here!
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband. I love being on the water, swimming, kayaking, and even hammocking by the river. This year, I started my school work to receive my Master's Degree in education. Now I spend lots of time doing homework, too, so that I can be a better teacher for our students.
